Phew! Sometimes some results can leave you so shocked that you’ll be wondering if some scores are PS scores or real life. Last weekend was one of such. Fifty percent of my Sylvia’s Selection predictions came through but that wasn’t good enough for me especially with the results that fell through. Sigh. 

Amongst those that came through was a 2+ odds and I’m proud of that. As usual, I always advise to play 2+ odds on single tickets (as much (as your risk appetite can go), because sourcing them no be here and before I share I would have done a lot of background work.

That being said, this weekend, it’s just 5 games on the ticket. May the odds be in our favour. 

RB Leipzig v Arminia Bielefeld

After a surprise draw to poorly performing Stuttgart last weekend, Leipzig will be looking to bounce back in this domestic encounter on Saturday. 

A narrow 1-0 loss through a penalty to PSG in the Champions League during the week, hopefully, hasn’t dampened their spirits going into this game. They also have the home advantage. 

I tip them to win all three points against the new top flight side, albeit, not easily.

Borussia Monchengladbach v Schalke 04

The visitors are having a terrible season having earned just three points from three draws in eight matches. That, coupled with the absence of at least seven of their first team squad has ensured they are bottom of the table. 

The home side have had a good home form so far and have scored in their last 7 home matches and 8 goals in their last 3 over all.

Sturm Graz v WSG Swarovski

Graz surprised Austrian football fans last weekend when they secured a convincing 3-1 win at highflying, top of the table RB Salzburg. 

The visitors haven’t had a bad season either and are also in championship playoff place, just two spots and one point off their Saturday hosts. 

That being said, I’ll tip the home side to win this one, thanks to a better form, home advantage and head-to-head stats. They’ve never lost to this opposition in 3 meetings. Expect a slim victory though.
