Sylvia’s End of season 2-odds winners

Sylvia’s Christmas 2-odds Boom is your best bet in these uncertain times as COVID continues to wreak havoc, disrupting disrupting our beloved sport two years after.

It what could be the worst disruption since the Premier League was suspended at the height of it in 2020, rounds of fixtures risk being suspended with multiple teams missing several, up to dozens, of first team players after testing positive for the virus. This is huge and will be significant in outcomes at full time.

It will make outcomes more difficult to predict but I’ll take that into consideration. May the odds be in our favour!

Atalanta v AS Roma

Ordinarily, a team managed by Jose Mourinho should automatically have the upper hand against this Atalanta side. These days in Italy, things are different.

Mourinho hasn’t exactly turned Roma into prime Chelsea during his first stint at the London club. They’ve continued to perform like an above average side, as usual. They’ll also be missing key players like Smalling, El Shaaraway and Pellegrini.

Atalanta are the bigger side ahead of this tie. They have lost one in their last twelve matches, a narrow 3-2 loss to Villarreal. That’s an interesting impressive record.

Mourinho’s sides are known to build their side on their ability to defend, however, this Roma side haven’t exactly been that. For context, they’ve conceded just a goal short of Roma’s (19) while scoring 26, 11 less than the host’s after just 17 games.

Roma have nothing special going for them and I fancy Atalanta to win this comfortably for Sylvia’s Christmas 2-odds Boom

Tip: 1 & O1.5 @ 1.78 odds

Real Sociedad v Villarreal

It’s fifth versus thirteenth with ten points separating the sides with the home team enjoying more success.

Outside the top four teams in La Liga, the remaining teams in the league are struggling to score goals. But if there are any two teams most likely to score, these two will make the list for me.

Head-to-head statistics clearly put the visitors ahead with a 100% advantage. Their last two games against each other ended in 1-1 draws and I expect this to be another entertaining contest.

Villarreal will go into this off the back of a 7-1 victory in the Copa del Rey. In fact, they scored 12 times in their last three matches while the hosts have six in that time and 10 in the last three but have been just as porous as the back. I fancy both teams to score at least once.

Tip: BTTS @ 1.89 odds

Hertha Berlin v Borussia Dortmund

It’s second versus 14th.

Dortmund have continued to pull away from leaders Bayern and if there is any chance of staying anywhere close to them before the winter break, this is the game they must use to accrue the points. Should be a comfortable victory for them.

The visitors have already won eleven and drawn five of the ties with Berlin. They’ve also won all five of their last games against them.

I expect lots of goals as well and that’s what I’ll stake the money on for Sylvia’s Christmas 2-odds Boom

RB Leipzig v Arminia Bielefeld

On paper, it’s an expected straight victory for Leipzig. However, the odds for an outright home victory will be too low. My job is to find a likely possibility with worthy odds and that’s why I’ll go for the goals.

Despite their successful history, Leipzig have had a difficult season so far that has left them in 9th spot and are currently on a bad run of form, almost matched by their visitors.

Leipzig have never lost against this opposition and have won three out of four of those ties. Surprisingly, they haven’t enjoyed the luxury of scoring multiple goals or winning by more than a lone goal against them. To make matters worse, the home side are missing up to eight first team players through injury.

Tip: Highest scoring half – Second half @ 1.89 odds for Sylvia’s Christmas 2-odds Boom

Hoffeinheim v Borussia Monchengladbach

This season, Hoffenheim are the better side and have earned their fourth place spot while Monchengladbach languish in 13th place out of 18.

The visitors have lost all of their last four games preceding this while the hosts have won four of their last five and drawn just one. They are on a good form and I fancy them to win this one, comfortably despite suffering some many losses to their first team starts due to injury.

In terms of head-to-head, it’s a close one with the hosts enjoying eight victories and suffering seven loses in 24 outings.

Tip: 1 @ 2.11 odds

Freiburg v Bayer Leverkusen

Freiburg have had a good season so far and are currently in fifth place with 26 points, two spots and two points behind their visitors.

Both teams are on a mixed run of form and that’s enough reason for me to believe the result can go either way. Hence, I’ll place it safe even though with a low odd return.

Tip: x2 @ 1.45 odds

Tottenham v Liverpool

The Premier a league has already seen five out of ten games on Saturday postponed due to covid disruptions. It’ll be a miracle if this one doesn’t somehow get postponed as well.

Tottenham are already three games behind the bull of the rest of the league. It’ll be unfortunate if they continue having games piled up for the future despite already missing at least seven players to covid alone. Antonio Conte will not be pleased either ways but the virus doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

That being said, Liverpool are on fire and while they’ll also be missing certain players for the same reason, as long as they have Mo Salah, all is well.

I fancy a comfortable away victory for this away side. I reckon the hosts may start the game with a defensive approach knowing they are a weakened side.

Tip: 2 @ 1.60 odds

Aston Villa v Burnley

Villa suffered defeat against Liverpool last weekend but returned to winning ways with a -0 victory against Norwich midweek.

Contrary to some opinions, I feel Steven Gerard has made a difference in the side.

Against Burnley it’ll be a difficult game but I fancy a home victory at the blast of the full time whistle.

Tip: 1 @ 1.75 odds

Score prediction: 2-1 @ 8.40 odds

Feyenoord v Ajax

What a fixture this is. If you love to see goals, I fancy this to be a game you don’t want to miss as a punter. Stake on goals.

Both teams are tied on points and in third and second places, respectively. They have a lot in common and are also high scoring teams but Ajax takes the cake.

Ironically, Ajax won the last four ties without conceding a single goal. I don’t expect to see a repeat of that this weekend.

Ajax scored 15 goals in the last five games while the hosts have 11 in that time. Lethal.

To make a bold move I’ll fancy both teams to score with an Ajax victory at full time but for the sake of playing it safe, I’ll stick with the goals.

Tip: O2.5 @ 1.50 odds

RKC Waalwijk v PSV

The visitors will have an eye on the game going on at Feyenoord, hoping their closest rivals drop points as they take on this opposition they are very likely to slaughter.

Tip: First half – O1.5 @ 2 odds
