Foskolo's best 30 odds

The UEFA Champions League makes a return this midweek and like I promised on my column here, I’m back to preview the best options and odds on BestBet360 for you with Foskolo’s UCL 12 odds.

So, let’s start with the biggest game of the week

BARCA vs PSG

This eagerly anticipated encounter will surely bring back memories of 2017. PSG went to Camp Nou with a four-goal lead and even managed to get an away goal. Only to see two goals from the 88th minute steal their thunder in a 6-1 thrashing.

Since then, Neymar has crossed sides, Barca have been badly beaten two years in a row in the knock-out stage and PSG has reached the final.

Still, as Ronald Koeman faces Mauricio Pochentino on Tuesday, you expect fireworks. Add the fact the Parisians are making no secret their intentions of luring Messi to France, then, you’d understand the stakes in this game.

Unfortunately though, Neymar is out of this one through injury. To compound Pochettino’s woes, his Argentine compatriot, Angel Di Maria is also out.

I’d say, the home side should win this first leg. BestBet360 offers a massive 2.02 odds for a home win. That’s how we start Foskolo’s UCL 12 odds.

But if you don’t want to risk this and prefer to take a chance on both, then double chance of either side to win and both teams to score comes at a pricey 1.96 odds on BestBet360.

You can also try the multi scores option. A home win of either 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1 comes at a massive 4.70 odds. I would take a chance on this.

LEIPZIG vs LIVERPOOL

The on-going coronavirus pandemic means Liverpool would have a slight advantage in this first leg as the German side will be playing away from their home ground.

However, Leipzig come into this game in Budapest as the team with the better form winning four of their last five encounters. In fact, since  they beat Manchester United to book their place in the last 16 of the competition back in December, Leipzig have only lost twice in 13 games in all competitions.

Liverpool on the other hand have lost three of their last five games. Defensively, they are a shadow of the team they were just a few months ago.

With the home side keeping nine clean sheets in their last 13 games across all competitions and Liverpool struggling in front of goal lately, I’m expecting a stalemate at half time. BestBet360 has this set at 2.19 odds.

Also, I’d go for a double chance of both sides to win and scores being less than four. 1 or 2 and under 3.5 on BestBet360 is set at 1.84 odds.

But, if there’s one team who could possibly eke out a win, my guts tells me Jurgen Klopp’s side have a better chance of doing it. So, I’d take a chance on a Liverpool win which is 2.33 odds.

PORTO vs JUVENTUS

On Wednesday, attention will shift to the Estadio de Dragao as Porto welcome Juventus.

Of course, the headline will be all about the famous Portuguese footballer who would be coming to face a rival. As a former Sporting player, this game will sure mean a lot to Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, his Juve side come into the game on the back of a defeat to Napoli. Add the two defeats to Inter and Fiorentina in December, then Juve aren’t as formidable as they used to be.

The home side themselves don’t have the best of forms. They came from two goals down to salvage a point against Boavista in a 2:2 draw. That’s exactly how they’ve fared in their last four games – draws.

I expect another draw in this encounter. At 3.30 odds on BestBet360, I think it’s worth a try. Also, I don’t think we’d get many goals in this game. Matter of fact, I’d bet on both teams not scoring. BestBet360 has this option at 1.79 odds.

SEVILLA vs DORTMUND

The final Champions League game of the week will see Sevilla face off against Dortmund.

Sevilla are on a impressive run with nine straight wins. Dortmund on the other hand have been erratic and even chances of making next season’s competition hanging in the balance.

There has been at least 3 goals in 11 of Dortmund’s last 14 games. Actually, all six of their last games have had at least three goals. On the other hand, only one of Sevilla’s last five games has seen at least three goals. Some contrast you might say, but I would back over 2.5 for this game. BestBet360 has it prized at 1.77 odds.

With Dortmund’s porous defence and good attack, most likely they’d score and concede. Betting on both teams to score seems like a good option for this game. BestBet360 has this at 1.63 odds.

I would go as far as to back the home side to win here. At 2.41 odds for a home win on BestBet360, you can give it a shot.
