Boxing Day is going to be filled with plenty mouthwatering Premier League matches headlined by the London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea. So, who is going to earn the bragging rights in the derby clash? Read on to find out Godwin D Pundit’s prediction on the game, including his take on the other matches slated for the weekend in the Premier League.

Leicester City vs Manchester United

Manchester United are currently experiencing some form of purple patch – with three wins from their last three games in all competitions. They will thus be looking at sustaining the momentum here by aiming for another win. However, Manchester United were in action in midweek in the EFL Cup quarter final, while Leicester City had the whole week to prepare for this game, so there are chances we might see some Manchester United player show signs of lethargy in the game which will definitely affect their overall performance.

Having said that, I still expect Manchester United to be able to come out of this one with a point at least – priced at 1.34 odds with BestBet360. I say so because the Red Devils will be the more confident side heading into this clash as they have got an impressive record in this fixture – winning seven out of the previous eight league meetings between them and staying unbeaten in their previous eleven league meetings.

D’Punditz correct score prediction: Leicester City 1-2 Manchester United (9.20 odds with BestBet360)

Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace

Aston Villa are looking a revived side recently and I really won’t be shocked if they win this one comfortably. Crystal Palace are struggling at the moment, but they are a side that can come up with a surprise when you least expect. So I am not going to write them off here despite winning just once in their previous six games heading into this clash. I am just going to bank on this one to end in a draw at 3.75 oddswith BestBet360, as I can’t really pick a winner here even though Aston Villa (based on the current form of both teams) are expected to come out on top if the game goes on to produce a winner.

D’Punditz correct score prediction: Aston Villa 1-1 Crystal Palace (7.20 odds with BestBet360)

Fulham vs Southampton

Southampton are favourites to win this game, but they will really need to be at their utmost best to be able to come out of this one with all the three points. I say so because Fulham have looked an improved side recently and I expect them to give Southampton a good run for their money. My surest pick here is Southampton to win or draw this game at 1.30 odds with BestBet360, but I won’t be surprised if Fulham go on to earn something from this game.

D’Punditz correct score prediction: Fulham 1-1 Southampton (6.40 odds with BestBet360)

Arsenal vs Chelsea

Chelsea will really fancy their chances in this derby and that’s due to the fact that Arsenal have failed to win in their last eight domestic games – losing six of those games. Mikel Arterta is living on borrowed time in my opinion and I really won’t be surprised if he gets the axe with another defeat in this game. Arsenal under the Spaniard have looked very toothless and spineless – losing games they ought to be winning. At the moment,it just seem as though the players just do not want to play under the manager anymore; making it difficult for the manager to motivate them from the dugout. Chelsea at the moment are not looking particularlybrilliant but these days, you don’t need to be brilliant to beat this Arsenal team, that’s how poor the Gunners are under Arteta.

I think Chelsea will win this one at 1.96 odds with BestBet360. Arsenal’s confidence level is all over the place at the moment, with their backline prone to mistakes at the slightest prodding.

D’Punditz correct score prediction:  Arsenal 1-2Chelsea (8.50 odds with BestBet360)

Manchester City vs Newcastle United

So far in this campaign, Manchester City have underwhelmed in the Premier League and I won’t be shocked if Newcastle come out of this one with some sort of positive result. But I think Manchester City will win this one at 1.14 odds with BestBet360. They have got Everton and Chelsea to come next, so they just can’t afford to drop points here.

D’Punditz correct score prediction: Manchester City 3-0 Newcastle United (6.90 odds with BestBet360)

Sheffield United vs Everton

Sheffield United are still without a win so far this season but I was impressed with the draw they earned last time out at Brighton, despite going down to ten men in the 40th minute of the game. They were almost on the verge of winning the game until a late Danny Welbeck goal crushed their hopes. If they can build on that performance, then I see them causing Everton trouble on Saturday. However, my money is going to be on Everton to win the game at 1.92 odds with BestBet360. Sheffield United are very porous at the back and I think Everton will capitalize.

D’Punditz correct score prediction: Sheffield United 1-2 Everton (8.50 odds with BestBet360)

Leeds United vs Burnley

Leeds United were ripped apart by Manchester United last weekend but still got praised by the media for putting up an entertaining display. It remains to be seen how far they can go in the league playing a swashbuckling style that tends to leak goals. I am going to back Burnley to either win or draw this one at 1.97 odds with BestBet360 because Sean Dyche’s men know how to frustrate an opponent and get a result. For all of Leeds’ eye-catching and free-flowing attacking football, they can easily be frustrated by a well-drilled defence, and I see Burnley doing exactly just that on Sunday.

D’Punditz correct score prediction: Leeds United 0-1 Burnley (16.50 odds with BestBet360)

West Ham vs Brighton

Brighton have been very disappointing this season and almost gifted ten-man Sheffield United their first win of the season last weekend, I see them losing if they don’t up their performance against West Ham on Sunday. However, West Ham are still without their danger man Michail Antonio and their performance seem to have dropped since they lost the England international to a hamstring injury. I am thus going to back this one to end in a draw at 3.35 odds with BestBet360, as I am really struggling to pick a favourite here.

D’Punditz correct score prediction: West Ham 1-1 Brighton (6.50 odds with BestBet360)

Liverpool vs West Brom

I just can’t see anything here other than a Liverpool win priced at 1.14 odds with BestBet360. Liverpool laid down their title credentials with a 7-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend; they will be looking to maintain the same momentum when they come up against a struggling West Brom side on Sunday.

D’Punditz correct score prediction: Liverpool 3-0 West Brom (7.10 odds with BestBet360)

Wolves vs Tottenham

Tottenham seem to have hit a brick wall as they have now gone three Premier League games without a win – losing twice. Wolves are also struggling in the league at the moment but they will look at how poor Spurs have been lately and back themselves to win the game on their turf. Tottenham played at Stoke City in midweek in the EFL Cup, leaving Wolves the fresher of the two heading into the clash. Therefore, I think Spurs (playing away from home) will take a draw in this one. Hence, I am going to settle for a draw at 3.30 odds with BestBet360.

D’Punditz correct score prediction: Wolves 1-1 Tottenham (6.40 odds with BestBet360)
