The Boom Banker returns with 30 odds Home Wins ACCA amidst the exciting matches scheduled for this weekend, especially in Europe where the top teams are gearing up for midweek continental engagement in the UEFA club competitions.
With all of Europe’s top leagues in full swing, the Boom Banker‘s well-researched Home Wins selections for this ‘exciting weekend of football action are largely drawn from the top leagues across Europe.
Let’s play along!
GLASGOW RANGERS vs LIVINGSTON
Rangers will welcome Livingston to Ibrox for a must-win clash in the Scottish Premiership.
The hosts are coming off a narrow 1-0 victory over Dundee United at the same venue in the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals.
Livingston, meanwhile, have not been in action since triumphing over St. Johnstone 1-0 at home in the league last weekend.
Rangers have 30 wins from their last 41 meetings against Livingston. Eight games have ended in a share of the spoils, while Livingston have won just thrice. Rangers have won their last seven domestic games this term.
This is unlikely to be anything other than a home win for Rangers at 1.20 odds on BestBet360.
MANCHESTER CITY vs BRIGHTON
Manchester City suffered their first English Premier League defeat of the season last weekend and will be looking to bounce back against Brighton at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.
City have had the benefit of a midweek off after their game with Arsenal was postponed due to the Gunners’ involvement in the UEFA Europa League, while Brighton were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
Brighton are still seeking their first win under new boss Roberto De Zerbi and that wait looks likely to stretch on beyond this weekend. City have seven wins in as many attempts in east Manchester, scoring 33 goals in the process.
Brighton will struggle to get anything out of this clash and even a goal may be beyond them as they have now gone three games without scoring.
Manchester City to win at 1.20 odds on BestBet360 comes handy.
AC MILAN vs MONZA
Monza’s trip to AC Milan on Saturday will be significant for several reasons, with former Rossoneri president Silvio Berlusconi and chief executive Adriano Galliani returning to San Siro with their new side. On the pitch, meanwhile, an entertaining affair should be expected as two of Italian Serie A’s most in-form outfits do battle.
Although Milan have suffered two Champions League defeats to Chelsea this month, they have won five of their last six matches in Serie A to stay within three points of early-season leaders Napoli. Stefano Pioli’s men have hit 20 goals this season – a return only bettered by Napoli (25) and Lazio (21).
Given Milan’s attacking quality and their return of 12 points from five home Serie A games this season, backing the Rossoneri appears prudent.
Backing Milan to secure a comfortable home win at 1.38 odds on BestBet360.
REAL MADRID vs SEVILLA
Sevilla’s 4-game unbeaten run will come under intense scrutiny when they visit the Bernabeu for the Spanish La Liga showdown with the defending champions, Real Madrid.
Real Madrid have shown they mean business in their quest for another La Liga title, beating Barcelona 3-1 last weekend before hammering Elche 3-0 in midweek.
That means ten of their last 14 games have contained three or more goals, yet they have come out on the winning side on each occasion.
Sevilla have played four games under new boss Jorge Sampaoli, and although they have not pulled up any trees, they are unbeaten thanks to three draws and a win.
Real Madrid have won five times in six games at the Bernabeu this season.
Real Madrid to secure a routine home win comes at 1.40 odds on BestBet360.
FEYENOORD vs FORTUNA SITTARD
Feyenoord will welcome Fortuna Sittard to De Kuip for a Dutch Eredivisie showdown on Saturday.
The hosts come into the game on the back of a morale-boosting 3-1 comeback away victory over AZ Alkmaar last weekend.
The hosts are now within touching distance of the top two and need a win here to avoid falling further behind.
Feyenoord have 32 wins from their last 51 matches against Fortuna Sittard, while Saturday’s visitors have 11 wins to their name. Their most recent meeting came in May when Feyenoord claimed a 3-1 away victory.
Fortuna Sittard are heavy outsiders and barring an unlikely upset, Feyenoord should claim a comfortable win.
Feyenoord to prevail at 1.23 odds on BestBet360.
SPORTING LISBON vs CASA PIA LISBON
Sporting Lisbon and their city rivals Casa Pia will battle for three points in a Portuguese Primeira Liga clash on Saturday.
The hosts are coming off a shock 1-0 defeat at Varzim in the Taca de Portugal last weekend. The Lions will now turn their attention to league action where things are not much better. They’re sixth in the standings, having garnered 16 points from nine games.
Sporting won their sole previous clash against Casa Pia in the Round of 16 of the Taca de Portugal last season, with Sporting progressing with a 2-1 away win. Sporting have won three straight home games in the league.
This game looks as though it should be a fairly easy victory for Sporting Lisbon at 1.33 odds on BestBet360.

New Season, still on the beat with my 2+ odds!
In my last episode, I made three 2+ odds predictions and two came through. Not a bad start. I’ve always advised to pay more attention to my 2+ odds. That category of selections are the best to a guarantee for money doubling.
Back to this week, I’ll be making my predictions with mid-week games. For some reason, mid-week games are more difficult to predict. Teams tend to perform differently. Same for fans as well. Maybe it has something to do with the long hours at work. On that note, I’ll roll out my predictions for Monday Night Football.
May Lady Luck be in our favour!
Sampdoria v AS Roma
Jose Mourinho’s team have started the season okay, at least by the club’s standards. Outside the Champions League places but above Juventus, surprisingly. The top five teams in Serie A currently are made up of only two of the traditional largest teams in Italy, with teams like Udinese and Lazio part of that number while Atalanta coast at the top.
Roma, making a push for themselves will want to stay close to that summit while they hope for these “wannabes” to drop at some point. Being on the right side of that means ensuring that Juventus doesn’t overtake them on the log. This game against bottom-placed Sampdoria is the type of me they should be winning to ensure that doesn’t happen.
The hosts are yet to win a single game this season. They have in fact scored just five times and conceded 17 to ensure they have just three draws after nine matches.
As much as Roma will still be without some players like Dybala due to injury, they have just enough to see off this game but don’t expect a rout. It’s a Jose Mourinho side in defensive Italy.
Tip: 2 & O1.5 @ 1.99odds
Score prediction: 0:2 @ 7.80 odds
Lecce v Fiorentina
Two teams with a history of being neck-on-neck with each other. Two points keep them apart, with the visitors in 14th place after recording nine points. This isn’t an easy tie to predict. However, with 11 goals conceded apiece, eight and seven goals scored, respectively, I expect a low-scoring game. To be honest, I’m more inclined to tilt toward a draw. But I’ll rather put the money on the number of goals to be scored.
Tip: U1.5 @ 3.05odds
Now we make the short trip to Spain…
Villarreal v Osasuna
Two teams neck-on-neck.
Villarreal have surprisingly had a slow start to the season. They have recorded just three wins and three draws out of eight games.
Villarreal are usually a goal threat. However, they’ve struggled to find their scoring boots thus far. It’s still early days, so let’s be patient with them.
The home team haven’t lost in nine games at home, are ranked third in big chances created yet are ninth in goals scored per match but have been awarded the most penalties – four. This means that they surely retain their attacking threat.
That being said, if Villarreal were the visiting team, their chances of getting a win would have been way narrower. However, against this Monday’s opponent and on home soil, I fancy them to find victory.
Tip: 1 @ 1.63 odds
Atletico Madrid v Rayo Vallecano
With all due respect to the visitors, I’m not sure about the point of analysis here, to be honest. In 16 meetings, Atletico have claimed 13 victories and two draws.
Tip: 1 & NG @ 2.09 odds
Then to Cyprus…
AEK Larnaca v Olympiakos Nicosia
The hosts are clear favourites for the win here. Seated in fourth place while the visitors are second from the bottom, six points behind Larnaca’s ten.
It’s not just their current form that sets them apart. Head-to-head stats have the hosts nine wins and seven draws ahead after 18 meetings.
It’s difficult to see an actual “match” here.
Insights on both of them show that the home side have scored seven goals in their last five matches and are ranked an enviable second at home this season.
In comparison, the visitors have scored just once in five matches and are yet to find the back of the net since their last two away games.
Expect a very narrow victory for the home side.
Tip: 1 @ 1.46odds
Let’s go to the UK…
Crystal Palace v Wolves
Wolves have signed one of the best strikers the Premier League has seen in the past decade in Diego Costa. However, he isn’t what he used to be at Chelsea. It feels like yesterday but it’s been eight years since then. A lot has changed.
The Spanish striker seems to have lost everything that made him the dreaded marksman he was. Including his ferocity and aggression. He appears like a man seeing out his days to retirement. Costa can pass as the face of everything wrong with the once-admired Wolves side under Nuno Santos.
Palace on the other hand haven’t exactly excited but they hover around the middle of the table and are in a better position to win this one.
For a comparative analysis of these two sides, in terms of rank in goals scored, the home team are 13th while the visitors are at rock bottom of that log.
All last three matches between these two sides have ended in victories for the Londoners. To make matters worse and confidence much lower, Wolves haven’t won away in their last six attempts.
Tip: 1 @ 2.22odds
Manchester United v Tottenham
Big mid-week game at the ever-buzzing Old Trafford.
I can’t speak to who’ll likely win but I can speak to the goals.

Welcome Back! On the eve of my birthday, I return. And not just any old return, I come bearing gifts.
It’s been 10 long months without sharing my predictions on this platform. I have missed it and I know you’ve missed it too. The feeling of anticipation, anxiety and joy when your list of predictions or ballsy bet “clicks”. Not forgetting the disappointment that comes with the “near” wins. That one sef dey.
But as a punter and as we like to say, “we go again”! The higher the risk, the higher the pay. I like the thrill of risks and the pride that comes with a winning bet!
Now back to the main event and may the odds be in our favour!
Chelsea v Wolves
If you’ve been following me on different platforms, you’ll know I am a Chelsea fan. I resume with this game for the purpose of starting from “home”.
Chelsea have had a mixed start to the season, not good enough by their standards. They are obviously still going through the transition effects of change in ownership, management and even on-field personnel. It’s all come cooking at once. Like when you throw in all the ingredients in the pot at once, some will cook before others. Chelsea hasn’t “cooked” well with the ownership, management (so far) and playing personnel.
There is potential in there if their midweek champions league game against AC Milan is anything to go by. The Blues looked assured and controlled the game against the Italian side who have largely had an unimpressive start to the season by their recent standards.
Chelsea looked way better than what they’ve been.
With most of their players back and fit, Graham Potter, has more options to choose from and maybe we can begin to have an insight into how he intends his team to be. Although you can’t really be sure if how his team will play even after seeing the line up, one thing is certain, flair and push for goals will be expected.
Against a visiting Wolves side who have massively underperformed and are third from the bottom with six point after eight games – one win, three draws, four loses, and nine goals conceded, Chelsea will be going into this one with confidence.
Although the last two games between them have ended in draws, the Blues are in need of every point they can get as they strive to climb their way up the table and into the top four.
On the down side for the home side, while Wolves have conceded nine times, they (Chelsea) have let in a whooping ten goals. Meaning they are susceptible to conceding. I expect the Blues to win but I’ll stake on goals.
Tip: Goal difference 1 @ 2.48 odds
Score prediction: 2:1 @ 8.70 odds
Brighton v Tottenham Hotspur
Brighton have continued to be the surprise team of the league after eight matches and sit in fourth place behind their visitors. Three points separate both teams hence this game is more of a six pointer.
Brighton have continued to perform even after losing their manager, Graham Potter, to Chelsea. They have lots of goals in them and earned the 3-3 draw at Liverpool last weekend. The week before they banged in five goals in a 5-2 victory against Leicester City. It can go bad quickly for Spurs.
The North Londoners have staggered in the past five games where they have registered two victories (including a 6-2 victory against Leicester), two losses and a draw. They are not in a bragging position and will be really weary of a solid Brighton side that can defend as much as they can score with 14 for and 8 against.
Head-to-head gives Spurs the overwhelming advantage but Brighton are a different animal from previous seasons.
With the start, stats and home advantage, I’ll bank on Brighton to win or lose this one it’s heir game to lose.
Tip: Home win or draw @ 1.51 odds
Score prediction: 2:0 @ 14.50 odds
AC Milan v Juventus
Two traditional Italian teams that are struggling to show their best will meet on Matchday 9 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.
While Milan will be coming off the back of a demoralizing 3-0 loss at Chelsea, Juventus will be coming from a better place having defeated Israeli side, Maccabi Haifa, 3-1 at the Allianz Stadium.
Two goals from Rabiot ensured the home side came out with three points. However, it’s worth knowing that the quality of the opposition can not be compared to AC Milan who are reigning champions.
Juventus have an overwhelming H2H advantage. However, when it comes to these games of pride and especially when the points matter so much, it could go either way. I fancy a home victory.
Milan has proven to be potent so far with an average of two goals per game in eight that have been played thus far. Juve on the other had have done a decent job of conversing just five times in that time while scoring 12 times. Italy is known for its defensive prowess too.
I’m not categorically sure who will score but I expect it to be a low scoring affair.
Tip: NG @ 1.84
Getafe v Real Madrid
This is a booster.
It’s almost impossible to see Real Madrid getting anything other than a victory against a 14th placed average.
Madrid have maintained their high scoring reputation and are second, one behind Barcelona, in the highest scoring rank as well as position in the log.
Carlo Ancelotti has an almost totally fit squad to pick from as well. They have won six out of seven and are yet to lose a single game since the 1-0 loss to Barcelona in a pre-season friendly in July. They have drawn twice since then.
Tip: 2&O1.5 @ 1.60 odds
Manchester City v Southampton
8 games, 29 goals. Fgs!
I pity Southampton.
Another boaster.
Tip: FH O1.5 @ 2.10 odds
Arsenal v Liverpool
This is my advised single stake for the weekend. Who would have though Arsenal will stand a chance against Liverpool? Not even until the start of this season would anybody except “delusional” Arsenal fans would have tried to argue over a chance against the Reds. Yet here we are, living in an Arsenal of Delusion as our reality.
The Gunners are sitting pretty at the top of the table even ahead of lightening Manchester City. Liverpool are 11 points behind in 9th place.
I have been proud of not just their performances and results but their mentality and the grit we now see in the squad. Arteta has recruited nicely.
Stake your bet on Arsenal this weekend. If that option exists, stake on them to play better football as well. Liverpool are a skeleton of themselves without Saido Mane.
Tip: 2 @ 2.54 odds
Everton v Manchester United
I’m pitching my tent with Manchester United here. As bad as they may seem, I expect them to come out of Goodison Park with all three points. Everton are suffering injuries to some of their key senior players.
However, I’ll play it safe.
Tip: x2 @ 1.30 odds
Atletico v Girona
Atletico have been quiet for the most of this season and will be looking to break into the top four especially as all teams try to secure as much points as possible before the World Cup break.
Expect a controlled victory for Atletico.
