This will be Mauricio Pochettino’s 4th game as PSG coach. So far he has recorded two victories and the third being a 1-1 draw against Saint-Etienne in his first game in charge.
Saturday’s encounter at Angers is a good opportunity to take advantage of the safe odds in their favour.
In 12 previous meetings, they’ve never lost to the hosts and dropped points just once. It also tends to be a goal fest.

Lille v Reims
Although 18 points separate these two sides in 3rd and 14 respectively, I expect this to be a tight affair.
The visitors are marginally the better team in terms of current form having not lost in 5 matches. They don’t shy from scoring away as well.
Lille are missing a couple of players but despite that, Sylvia’s safe 5 odds does not expect them to lose on home soil against these visitors.

Sporting Charleroi v KV Mechelen
This should be a tight affair in the Belgian league despite the superiority based on points difference – 33-23 points and 3rd to 14th positions, respectively.
Sporting Charleroi haven’t lost to Mechelen in their last five meetings. The head to head stats stands at 11-5.

DORTMUND vs MAINZ
Last week’s emphatic win at Leipzig showed just how much Erling Haarland means to the team. It also showed the resurgence under new Edin Terzic, the caretaker manager. They have won four of their last five encounters ibn all competitions.
Opponents Mainz on the other hand have been on a free fall losing four of their last five encounters.
But here is the thing. Mainz has been one of Dortmund’s bogey teams in recent times winning at least twice against the Black and Yellow in the last three seasons.
However, I expect a home win here. So for our weekend 14 odds, a win and over 2.5 is my first prediction for this game. On BestBet360, it is 1.37 odds. I am also expecting more goals here. At over 3.5, BestBet360 has a pretty fair odd of 1.80 which I think is worth a punt.
ATALANTA vs GENOA
The absence of European games has afforded Gian Piero Gasperini’s team the much-needed time to focus on domestic games and it has shown in their results. Four wins and a draw in the last five games is enough proof. Genoa on the other hand, have had mixed fortunes losing after extra time to Juventus in midweek and 2:1 to Sassuolo recently but netting two victories and a draw in as many games.

LIVERPOOL vs MAN UTD
A tough clash with Ole’s team heading to Anfield with a 3-point advantage – not sure many of us thought that would be the case just a month ago. But I expect the home side to weather the storm and come out victorious. Our weekend 14 odds goes for a risky bet on BestBet360 worth a punt at 2.01 odds.

And I really think if they do desire a win to cause an upturn in their form, then they should be winning this clash against West Brom.
The Baggies are without a win since November last year and have lost five out of their previous seven matches in the league. West Ham vs Burnley

I really expect this one to be cagey, with the side that utilizes their opportunities on the day coming out top. Leicester City vs Southampton

Sheffield United vs Tottenham
Sheffield United finally got their first win of the season against Newcastle in midweek, and they will be fired up for this clash against Tottenham. That’s because I think Sheffield United on the back of two successive wins (if you consider their FA Cup victory over Bristol Rover the other day) will really try to make things difficult for Spurs.

Liverpool vs Manchester United
This game on Sunday can be termed as the biggest fixture so far in the season. And that’s because we will have the title holders go head-to-head against title challengers and current leader on the log. Games between these two clubs have always been fiercely contested and I expect this one to follow suit. Although Manchester United come into this clash with the better form, it is Liverpool that have dominated this fixture in recent years – going unbeaten in the last four meetings between them – winning twice. A win for the Red Devils will help widen the gap between them and Jurgen Klopp’s men, while a win for the Anfield outfit will take them back to the summit of the log. So, this is going to be an intense battle and I can’t wait to witness it.

Over the last year, this column has focused on games in the La Liga. I’ll be making a slight shift away from that in 2021 and taking more look at other games across Europe.
But we would start in Spain today.
ATLETICO MADRID vs ATLETIC BILBAO
Leaders Atletico Madrid are up against a resurgent Bilbao. Diego Simeone’s side have only lost once in the league this season: a 2-0 loss against their city and title rivals, Real Madrid. Signing Luis Suarez from rivals Barca has got to be the La Liga signing of the summer as his injury time winner secured victory for them last time.

SPORTING CP V BRAGA
