BoomBankers 14-odds Home ACCA

It is squeaky bum time this weekend in Europe’s top leagues as the curtains are drawn over the 2022/2023 seasons in some Europe’s elite leagues including the German Bundesliga, English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, Portuguese Primeira Liga and Dutch Eredivisie.

Amidst the excitement of the last day of the season rush, the Boom Banker’s well researched 20 odds Home Wins selections are largely drawn from those matches of high significance and huge consequences.

Let’s play along!

BORUSSIA DORTMUND VS FSV MAINZ

The penultimate German Bundesliga round produced another huge twist in the tightest Bundesliga title race in recent memory as Bayern Munich were humbled 3-1 at home by Leipzig. The day after Bayern’s defeat, Borussia Dortmund rocked up in Bavaria to claim a convincing 3-0 win over a ten-man Augsburg and subsequently reclaim their own Meisterschale fate! The title equation is now simple, win here and Dortmund will break Bayern’s ten-year stranglehold on the German top-flight.

Dortmund boss Edin Terzić was philosophical in his assessment of the final day, stating that his players can have whatever material possessions they want, but they “can’t buy this moment”. Coming into this monumental clash with their longest home winning streak in this century (W11) now means it would take a brave soul to back against Dortmund becoming German champions for a ninth time!

Trying to spoil the title celebrations will be Mainz who sit a comfortable ninth in the table heading into the final day and seem to have downed tools over the last few weeks, losing each of their last four games and conceding some 13 goals in the process. In a curious twist, Mainz did Dortmund a favour earlier in the campaign by defeating Bayern 3-1, and Bayern will now pray that Mainz will build on a respectable record across their last three trips to Dortmund (W1, D1, L1) and return the favour.

This is unlikely to be anything other than a home win for Dortmund at 1.15 odds on BestBet360.

RB LEIPZIG VS SCHALKE O4

RB Leipzig have already secured third place in the Bundesliga and Champions league football for next season ahead of Saturday’s home game against Schalke in the final round of fixtures.

The visitors sit second from bottom in the table and defeat would see them drop straight down to the second tier, while even a win could still see them finish up in the bottom three.

Leipzig have the DfB Pokal final to come after the conclusion of the league but they can still end the season with a win and doom Schalke to Bundesliga 2.

Schalke managed back-to-back wins over Mainz and Bremen to give their survival hopes a boost not too long ago but have managed just one point from two games since.

Only a win will do for the visitors and they have to go on the attack from the off, and that may play right into Leipzig’s hands as the hosts are a quality team on the counter.

Leipzig have won their last four at home and are in fine form overall with eight wins in their last nine games. Boss Marco Rose may opt to rest a few players ahead of the cup final date with Frankfurt – but those players coming in will want to make a mark and try and force their way into his DfB Pokal plans.

Leipzig won the reverse fixture 6-1 and have dominated this fixture in recent years, winning each of their last four meetings with Schalke by at least three goals.

Leipzig to win at 1.62 odds on BestBet360 comes handy.

MARSEILLE VS STADE BREST

With two games remaining in the Ligue 1 season, Marseille have already wrapped up a spot in the Champions League next term. They head into this clash with Brest aiming to make a late run for second, with late comebacks something they’ve been familiar with this term.

The hosts have won 21 points after conceding the opening goal in Ligue 1, at least four more than any other team. They have every chance of repeating that turnaround this weekend, given that Brest have dropped 21 points after opening the scoring in Ligue 1 this season, the joint most alongside Troyes.

While Marseille have had their share of comebacks this term, that’s in part due to their issues at the back. Those issues have been at the forefront lately, with nine of their last 10 games seeing both teams find the net.

The hosts have conceded in 89% of their home matches this term, while they meet a Brest side who are safe from relegation after a recent rally which saw them win three of their last four. With the visitors carrying form into this one, back more goals for OM, with the possibility of another late comeback. The hosts have won three straight games at home

Backing Marseille to secure a comfortable home win at 1.38 odds on BestBet360.

LENS VS AC AJACCIO

Lens have won just 18% of their Ligue 1 games against Ajaccio, but everything points to that record turning on Saturday night. The visitors are second-bottom and doomed to play in the second-tier next season, while Lens are the only side standing in the way of PSG wrapping up the title.

The hosts have the best record at home in France’s top tier and they sit just six points shy of PSG with two games to go. While they are unlikely to complete that incredible turnaround, the fact they’re still within reach in late May shows just how fantastic this campaign has been for Lens. They’re secure second with a victory on Saturday and it’s hard to see much fight coming from Ajaccio.

Ajaccio head into this clash having lost back-to-back games 5-0, including a thumping loss at home to Rennes. They’ve conceded three goals or more in five of their last seven games, while they’ve shipped 41 goals across their 18 away games this season.

A visit to Lens shouldn’t make things easier for the visitors, who have the worst record across the last eight games in Ligue 1. Lens have won 16 of 18 home games this term, averaging over two goals per game.

Lens to secure a routine home win comes at 1.11 odds on BestBet360.

FC PORTO VS VITORIA GUIMARAES

With the 2022-23 Primeira Liga title still in their sights heading into the final matchday, Porto welcome Vitoria de Guimaraes to Estadio do Dragao on Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, the away side will be looking to record a fifth consecutive victory on the bounce and close out what has been an impressive season on a positive note.

Needing to secure maximum points to keep their title chase alive, Porto made it win number 10 in a row across all competitions following a 4-2 triumph over Famalicao at Estadio Municipal de Famalicao on Saturday.

While Azuis e brancos remain second in the Primeira Liga table, they have now moved within two points of league leaders Benfica, keeping their hopes of securing back-to-back league crowns alive.

Next up is the task of facing off against an opposing outfit who have lost each of the most recent eight meetings between the teams and boast just one win from the last 10 editions of this fixture.

Having come out on top in 14 of their 16 league matches on home turf this term, Saturday’s hosts are huge favourites to get the job done in front of their fans once again.

Moving up to 53 points from 33 league outings so far, Vitoria Guimaraes sit fifth in the standings and are through to the playoff phase of the Conference League.

Off the back of a recent resurgence away from home which has seen them win consecutive matches for the first time since October, Sunday’s visitors now brace themselves for what is set to be a daunting assignment on the road.

Porto to prevail at 1.24 odds on BestBet360.
