BoomBankers 14-odds Home ACCA

For the second week in a row, the Boom Banker’s 24 odds Home Wins picks for last weekend was only binned by one game. This time, it was Brentford who succumbed to a humiliating 3-1 home defeat against Everton.  On the back of another painful Cut-1, the Boom Banker returns this weekend with a sweet 25 odds Home Wins ACCA.

Let’s play along!

WEST HAM VS SHEFFIELD UNITED

Sheffield United head to West Ham on Saturday as they bid to respond to an 8-0 hammering at the hands of Newcastle last time out.

The Hammers are looking for a response of their own after league defeats to Man City and Liverpool, having managed 10 points from their first four games.

Sheffield United have just one point to show from six games and they sit at the foot of the table – but aside from the loss to Newcastle they have been competitive in their fixtures.

We should see a reaction from Paul Heckinbottom’s men and they are definitely a better team than last week’s performance suggests. However, it is still hard to see them getting a result against this slick West Ham outfit.

There have been goals at both ends in all six of West Ham’s league fixtures and they have just one clean sheet in their last 10 home games stretching back into last season. The Blades have lost both of their away games but did score at both Nottingham Forest and Tottenham, losing both games 2-1.

Sheffield United’s road displays have probably been better than their home performances and they should be able to keep this game fairly tight after coming close to a win at Spurs, but West Ham are a real force at home and have the quality to secure maximum points.

This is unlikely to be anything other than a home win for West Ham at 1.51 odds on BestBet360.

NEWCASTLE UNITED VS BURNLEY

Newcastle are flying right now after crushing Sheffield United 8-0 and ending Manchester City’s unbeaten record, and they should have far too much for visitors Burnley on Saturday.

The Clarets have competed well in most of their games but have just one point on the board after five games and their winless start is likely to extend beyond this weekend.

Eddie Howe’s side dismantled Sheffield United 8-0 in South Yorkshire last weekend and then claimed an impressive 1-0 win over Manchester City in the EFL Cup in midweek.

Three of Burnley’s four losses have come by two or more goals, and they could well be in line for a tough afternoon at St James’ Park.

Worryingly for Burnley, Liverpool and Arsenal are the only visiting teams to win at St James’ Park in 2023.

Newcastle to win at 1.34 odds on BestBet360 comes handy.

GLASGOW RANGERS VS ABERDEEN

Rangers welcome Aberdeen to Ibrox for a Scottish Premiership matchday seven fixture on Saturday.

The hosts are coming off a comfortable 4-0 home win over Livingston in the Scottish League Cup quarterfinal. Ryan Jack completed the rout in injury time to help his side book a date with Hearts in the last four.

Aberdeen also booked their spot in the League Cup last four, albeit with a less comfortable 2-1 win at 10-man Ross County.

The Dons now turn their focus back to the league, where they comfortably dispatched Ross County 4-0 at home in their last outing. Meanwhile, Rangers’ last league game was a narrow 1-0 home win over Motherwell.

The win left Michael Beale’s side in third spot with 12 points, while Aberdeen are second from bottom with just five points from six games.

Rangers have 54 wins and 12 losses in their last 84 games against Aberdeen. Their most recent meeting in May 2023 saw Rangers win 1-0 at home.

Rangers are four points behind Celtic after six games played and cannot afford to drop too many more points if they are to wrest the league title from their arch-rivals.

Backing Rangers to secure a comfortable home win at 1.27 odds on BestBet360

MANCHESTER UNITED VS CRYSTAL PALACE

Crystal Palace head to Old Trafford for the second time this week on Saturday and a similar result to Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat is expected as the Red Devils continue their resurgence.

For Manchester United, Tuesday’s victory marks a welcome return to form after a dismal stretch of results since the international break.

They had lost three successive games and conceded ten goals but seem to have returned to basics and looked solid at the back against Burnley and Palace.

Tuesday’s cup exit continued a string of poor results for Palace, who struggled to make an impressive impression against Fulham last weekend and suffered a disastrous late collapse at Aston Villa the week before.

Roy Hodgson’s side have failed to score in successive matches and only had four shots, two of which were on target, at Old Trafford on Tuesday. Given Manchester United’s improvement over the past week and the return of Raphael Varane, backing the hosts to win looks a good option for Saturday.

Manchester United to secure a routine home win comes at 1.60 odds on BestBet360.

GALATASARAY VS MKE ANKARAGUCU

Turkish champions Galatasaray prepare for their trip to Old Trafford in midweek with a home encounter against Ankaragucu in the Super Lig on Saturday night.

Gala relinquished top spot when Fenerbahce won their game in hand against local rivals Istanbul Basaksehir on Thursday, so the hosts cannot afford any slip-ups, even if there are obvious distractions on the horizon.

With Galatasaray still unbeaten after 13 games in all competitions this season, they will hope to make it 14 with a routine win before facing Manchester United on Tuesday.

However, an opening day draw at Kayserispor means they are currently second, as Fener lie two points above them after winning their opening six.

After an inconsistent start, Ankaragucu now face one of the most daunting tasks in Turkish football.

The visitors have only won once in their opening six Super Lig matches this season, but they still find themselves in mid-table.

Only Fenerbahce have got the better of Tolunay Kafkas’s men since an opening day defeat to Kasimpasa though, suggesting it may not be a walkover here.

With the biggest game of the season coming up on Tuesday, Galatasaray may be forgiven for taking their foot slightly off the pedal here, but they must ensure they still get the job done.

It has been three shaky victories in a row now for Gala surrounding the start of their European campaign, but Ankaragucu have been far from scintillating so far and the hosts should comfortably take the three points.

Galatasaray to prevail at 1.33 odds on BestBet360.
