BoomBankers 14-odds Home ACCA

It is another weekend of exciting football action across leagues in Europe, and the Boom Banker is here to make it more exciting for you with a juicy 20 odds Home Wins ACCA.

Let’s play along!

GLASGOW RANGERS VS HIBERNIAN

The Philippe Clement era begins on Saturday afternoon for Rangers, who return from the international break with a Scottish Premiership clash against Hibernian at Ibrox.

While the Gers have already lost two of their opening four top-flight home games this season, Hibs have won just one of their first four league matches on the road.

Four months after losing his job with Ligue 1 side Monaco, Philippe Clement has returned to management with Rangers less than two weeks after the dismissal of Michael Beale at Ibrox.

Clement’s immediate task is to reel in bitter rivals and reigning champions Celtic in the race for the Premiership title, with Rangers currently sitting seven points behind the Hoops at the summit having already lost three of their opening eight top-flight games.

Under the tutelage of interim boss Steven Davis, Rangers suffered a disappointing 2-1 away defeat to Cypriot outfit Aris Limassol in the Europa League group stage, before bouncing back with an impressive 3-0 top-flight win against a high-flying St Mirren side in their final game before the international break, courtesy of a James Tavernier brace and a strike from Abdallah Sima.

Hibs, meanwhile, head to Ibrox boasting a six-game unbeaten run in all competitions, winning and drawing three games each including a 2-2 draw with Edinburgh rivals Hearts in their final match before the international break.

Hibs currently sit seventh in the Premiership table with nine points from their first eight games, just two points above the bottom two and six points adrift of Saturday’s opponents Rangers in second place.

The Cabbage may struggle to extend their unbeaten run this weekend as they have lost each of their last eight league visits to Ibrox, conceding at least two goals on six of those occasions; not since a 2-1 win in February 2018 have Hibs claimed all three points away against Rangers.

Rangers can ill-afford to drop too many more points in their quest to close down Celtic at the summit, and they will hope that the appointment of Clement can act as a catalyst for a turnaround in fortunes.

This is unlikely to be anything other than a home win for Rangers at 1.38 odds on BestBet360.

PSG VS STRASBOURG

Paris Saint-Germain will look to put an underwhelming start to the season behind them when they welcome Strasbourg to the Parc des Princes on Saturday.

In one of PSG’s worst starts to a season under the Qatari ownership, they return after the international break in third place in the Ligue 1 standings.

Luis Enrique went some way to redeem himself to the PSG faithful when he led his side to a 3-1 win away at Rennes shortly before the international break.

The Spanish manager is already on thin ice, especially after their humiliating 4-1 thrashing at Newcastle United in the Champions League at the start of the month.

That result, along with some other very disappointing performances, means Enrique still has a fair bit to do to turn the tide, and they must ensure league form picks up especially.

PSG looked lethargic and off it in draws with Lorient, Toulouse and Clermont, before they were outplayed by Nice on home soil in a 3-2 defeat.

The champions have looked their strongest when playing other big clubs, given they beat Borussia Dortmund comfortably in Europe, and have thrashed Lens, Lyon and Marseille already this season.

A good showing in that win over Rennes last time out should give the side plenty of confidence to go on a run now which can see them eat up the ground which they lost after a poor start.

Ahead of the visit of AC Milan to the French capital in midweek, a win and a convincing performance are required from the Parisiens here.

Facing Strasbourg could well be a stroke of good fortune just when Enrique needed it too, as the Alsace club have never beaten PSG away from home in 36 attempts dating back to 1975 – losing 28.

Patrick Vieira is the current manager looking to end the barren run, and they have made a respectable start to the campaign.

Sitting 11th, just two points off the European place is a more welcome sight than the one they suffered through for much of last season, when the club were in the relegation zone in March.

PSG have often struggled against weaker sides in Ligue 1 so far this season, but their dominant history over Strasbourg should continue here.

Two defeats before the break may have dented confidence slightly for Vieira’s men, and this remains the most daunting fixture in French football so a defeat is on the cards for the visitors.

PSG to win at 1.26 odds on BestBet360 comes handy.

GIRONA VS ALMERIA

Girona will be aiming to record their eighth La Liga victory of what has been a very impressive campaign to date when they welcome a struggling Almeria on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts are second in the table, boasting 22 points from their opening nine league games, while Almeria are rooted to the bottom of the division on just three points from nine matches.

Girona have undoubtedly been the surprise package in Spain’s top flight so far this season, with the Catalan outfit winning seven, drawing one and losing one of their nine games to collect 22 points.

Michel’s side are second in the table, just two points behind leaders Real Madrid, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side the only team to beat them in the opening two months of the 2023-24 campaign.

Girona are only in their fourth season in Spain’s top flight, finishing 10th, 18th and 10th in their previous three, so they are very much on course to make history this term, but there is still an awful lot of football to be played.

The White and Reds impressively bounced back from their 3-0 loss to Real Madrid at the end of September by recording a 1-0 victory over Cadiz before the international break, with Aleix Garcia netting the only goal of the contest in the 59th minute.

Almeria, meanwhile, have found it difficult during the 2023-24 campaign, drawing three and losing six of their nine matches, which has left them bottom of the table on three points.

La Union finished 17th in Spain’s top flight last season, only narrowly avoiding relegation back to the Segunda Division on the final matchday of the campaign, so it is not too surprising to see them at the bottom.

La Liga has a habit of throwing up surprise results when they are least expected, but  no way that is happening in this match. Girona have proved themselves to be a strong outfit this term, and the Catalan outfit should have too much for a struggling Almeria in this match.

Backing Girona to secure a comfortable home win at 1.52 odds on BestBet360.

MONACO VS METZ

Monaco can extend their winning run in Ligue 1 to three matches when they host Metz on Sunday at Stade Louis II in the Principality.

Heading into matchday nine, Les Monegasques are a point above Nice for first in the top-flight table following a 3-1 win over Reims the last time out, while Les Grenats are in early relegation danger, a point above that line after losing their previous encounter versus Nice, 1-0.

Following a speedbump in their home defeat versus arch-rivals Nice on matchday six, it seems like Monaco are back on track, winning consecutive contests to climb back into the early lead in the French top-flight this season.

Since failing to find the mark versus Nice (1-0 loss), the Monegasques attack have found their form again, scoring three goals in each of their previous two victories against Marseille (3-2) and Reims.

In his first foray as a Ligue 1 manager, Adi Hutter has enjoyed some early success, particularly in attack, where his side lead the league regarding goals scored (21).

With 17 points after eight domestic fixtures, it is their highest tally to this stage of a top-flight campaign since 2017-18 (19) when they wound up second, and with a victory this weekend, Les Monegasques can reach the 20-point plateau after nine league games for the first time since 2013-14 (21) when they also came in second.

Their current two-match winning run may not seem like a lot, but this team failed to win consecutive league contests under former manager Philippe Clement last season between March and June.

They have had their way with Metz in the top flight of late, beating them 12 of the previous 13 times that the sides have squared off, which is as many victories as they managed in their last 37 meetings against them.

Metz have suffered 16 defeats versus Monaco in Ligue 1 this century, and they will be up against a side brimming with confidence who have had virtually no trouble finding the back of the net in this competition.

Monaco to secure a routine home win comes at 1.37 odds on BestBet360.

FENERBAHCE  VS HATAYSPOR

Two sides preserving unbeaten starts meet at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Istanbul on Sunday, when Fenerbahce host Hatayspor in the Super Lig.

The hosts have been absolutely irresistible so far this season and have arguably the best record of any side in Europe so far.

Fenerbahce’s extraordinary start is on the verge of breaking records, as they have won all 14 games so far in all competitions, scoring an incredible 46 goals, while also keeping 10 clean sheets.

On the league front alone, they are in the midst of a four-game winning run without conceding, as almost six-and-a-half hours have elapsed since their goal was last breached in the Super Lig.

Ismail Kartal’s men continued their fine run with a routine 2-0 win at Kasimpasa shortly before the international break to keep them top of the table.

Bitter rivals Galatasaray remain in hot pursuit though, just two points behind, but Fener look like they will keep on winning before the two sides meet on December 24.

While Kartal will target another three points there, their league schedule does get slightly tougher in the coming weeks, with Trabzonspor, Adana Demirspor and Besiktas all to come in their next five.

With a strong Hatayspor side coming up next too, it is arguable to say their clash with Pendikspor is the only fixture in this spell which looks like a certain three points for Fener.

Hatayspor’s start has been excellent, but they have not yet faced a side of Fenerbahce’s might though, and this will be a true test of their credentials.

The Antakya-based side, which was left devastated by February’s earthquake, have returned in heroic style since getting back to action, as their early season form already has them in contention for the European places.

No side in Turkey appears capable of stopping Fenerbahce in their tracks currently, and another unbeaten start may go here with a routine home win.

Hatayspor’s start has been excellent, especially given the horrible circumstances surrounding the club over the past few months, and an expected defea

Fenerbahce to prevail at 1.22 odds on BestBet360.
