BoomBankers Home Wins ACCA

The Boom Banker’s 19 odds Home Wins picks for last weekend was only binned by PSG who were held to a heartbreaking goalless draw at home by FC Lorient. On the back of the painful Cut-1, the Boom Banker returns this weekend with a sweet 20 odds Home Wins ACCA.

With the top European leagues now fully back in action for the 2023/24 season, the Boom Banker’s well researched Home Wins selections for this ‘exciting weekend of football actions’ are largely drawn from both the top and lower leagues across Europe.

Let’s play along!

LIVERPOOL VS BOURNEMOUTH

Liverpool are looking to get back to winning ways when they host Bournemouth in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Bournemouth will have harrowing memories of last season’s trip to Merseyside, where Liverpool ran riot in a 9-0 demolition.

The Cherries got their revenge on the south coast, winning 1-0, but they have lost on six of their seven previous trips to Anfield and are likely to be found wanting again.

Plenty has changed since that drubbing from the Reds and a takeover in December has allowed them to inject some much-needed quality into the squad.

A 1-1 draw with West Ham in their opening game is a respectable starting point under Iraola, but Liverpool are likely to pose a much sterner test at their Anfield fortress.

The Reds also drew their opening game 1-1 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, where they were the better team in the first half but second best after the break.

However, Liverpool are a completely different proposition at their Merseyside home, where they lost only one of their 19 league games last season.

Leeds were the only team to upset Jurgen Klopp’s crew, whose list of victims included Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham.

With Luis Diaz back fit and healthy, Liverpool’s forward options are at full strength with Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota also fighting for places.

That array of attacking talent spells trouble for Bournemouth and they are likely to spend much of the game on the back foot.

This is unlikely to be anything other than a home win for Liverpool at 1.25 odds on BestBet360.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND VS FC COLOGNE

Borussia Dortmund missed a gilt-edged opportunity to win last season’s Bundesliga title as they lost out on goal difference to Bayern, and bookmakers expect them to serve up the biggest challenge to the Bavarians this campaign too.

They must embark on the new journey without English ace Jude Bellingham, who has made a big-money switch to Real Madrid, but they should make a winning start to the 2023-24 campaign against Cologne.

Dortmund were a formidable force at Signal Iduna Park last season as they won 14 and drew two of their 17 home games.

Cologne will know all too well how dominant Dortmund were at home after they were hit for six on their trip there.

In fact, Dortmund racked up 55 goals in 17 home outings, scoring three or more in nine of their 14 wins, which ought to spell trouble for the visitors.

Cologne managed only four wins in 17 attempts on their travels, although both teams did score in 11 of those fixtures.

That at least offers them some hope of a consolation goal for Cologne, who also scored on last season’s trips to Bayern, Leipzig and Leverkusen.

Dortmund to win at 1.47 odds on BestBet360 comes handy.

BARCELONA VS CADIZ

Last weekend’s 0-0 draw with Getafe was a dire showing for Barca, who were out to fix their rotten La Liga form after tailing off in the aftermath of their title success at the end of last season.

The Catalans need to shape up in order to retain their crown, with Real Madrid already making a bright start. Sunday brings the champions up against a Cadiz side who are poor travellers, so Barca should hope for a comfortable win in their home away from home.

Cadiz have not won in any of their last five La Liga away matches and last season they averaged just 0.58 goals per game on the road. That poor attacking return doesn’t bode well for them on Sunday, as Barcelona have kept 16 clean sheets in their 24 league games in 2023.

Cadiz coach Sergio Gonzalez has lost 10 of the 11 La Liga games he has managed against Barca and another defeat looms. The hosts can transfer their stellar defensive record over to the Olympic Stadium as they start life away from the Camp Nou for the time being.

Backing Barcelona to secure a comfortable home win at 1.25 odds on BestBet360.

MOLDE VS VALERENGA

Molde welcome Valerenga to the Aker Stadion for an Norwegian Eliteserien clash on Saturday.

The hosts are coming off a 2-0 win over Klaksvik after extra time in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifier on Thursday.

Molde will turn their attention back to the domestic scene where their last game saw them held to a dramatic 2-2 draw at Sandefjord last weekend.

The stalemate left the Norwegian champions in fourth spot in the stndings, having garnered 33 points from 18 games. Valerenga, meanwhile, are second-from-bottom with 15 points to show for their efforts after 17 outings.

Molde’s title defence has not gone according to plan, as they find themselves eight points behind league leaders Bodo/Glimt. They will put more focus on their continental playoff tie against Galatasaray.

Valerenga, for their part, have immediate relegation fears to worry about, but their next task is gargantuan. Molde are almost invincible at the Aker Stadion, having won their last 10 games in front of their fans.

Molde to secure a routine home win comes at 1.36 odds on BestBet360.

BESIKTAS VS PENDIKSPOR

Besiktas had a great campaign in the Turkish Super Lig last season and they finished third on the table. They won three points in their first game of the season against Karagumruk. The are well prepared as they have played well in their Conference League fixtures as well.

At the same time, Pendikspor are a newly promoted team this season. In their first game, they lost to Hatayspor by conceding five goals. They lack the intensity and will require time to adapt.

This is going to be the first time both teams will play against each other. Besiktas are on a four-game winning streak in all competitions.

Besiktas have a 100% unbeaten record at Vodafone Park in all competitions this year. They have consistently performed well in Conference League fixtures and won their season opener against Karagumruk. At the same time, Pendikspor are currently at the bottom of the table as they lost to Hatayspor by 5-1 last time.

Besiktas to prevail at 1.36 odds on BestBet360.

Suo’s weekend specials

1- LIVERPOOL v BOURNEMOUTH

Liverpool will hope to claim a first win of the new campaign this weekend when they host Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday.

The Merseyside Reds opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw away at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea while the Andoni Iraola-era began in similar fashion as their opposition’s with the Cherries being held to a 1-1 draw at home against West Ham.

Visiting Bournemouth return to Anfield for the first time since the debilitating 9-0 bashing at the hands of their hosts last term, the side’s heaviest league defeat – an outcome Iraola will dread a reoccurrence of.

In the previous five meetings between both sides, Liverpool have claimed the better results with four wins while losing just once to Bournemouth.

PREDICTION

Jurgen Klopp’s side may not have had the dream start they anticipated against Chelsea last week but the dynamics appear very different this time around on home turf against a side who are not the most famous for causing upsets at Anfield and especially not when the hosts presently enjoy a 12-game unbeaten run at home, so we feel this would most likely churn out a commanding victory for the hosts, so a combo option of home win and over 2.5 goals scored (1 & ov. 2.5G) at 1.38 odds @Bestbet360 should do just fine.

2- TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v MANCHESTER UNITED

A historically high scoring tie is on the menu in game-week 2 of the 23/24 EPL season as Tottenham Hotspur welcome Manchester United to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on Saturday.

Spurs began life under Ange Postecoglu with a decent outcome, playing out a 2-2 draw against city rivals Brentford while Manchester United narrowly emerged unscathed in the 1-0 win against Wolves.

The host’s the new campaign under former Celtics manager Ange Postecoglu, began with some optimism following the uncertainties surrounding high profile departures, the biggest one being club record goal-scorer Harry Kane who made the permanent move to Bavarian giants Bayern Munich.

The last five meetings between both sides have produced outcomes more favorable for the visitors as United are undefeated with four wins and a draw against the hosts under their belt.

PREDICTION

While previous results against Manchester United will prove to be a cause for concern for Ange Postecoglu’s side, we feel given the side’s attacking display against Brentford and United’s underwhelming performance at home against Wolves, this fixture will likely produce goals, so we’ll lean with that and predict an over 2.5 goals scored outcome (ov. 2.5 G) at 1.46 odds @Bestbet360.

3- MANCHESTER CITY v NEWCASTLE.

The highest scoring sides from game week 1 of the 23/24 EPL campaign clash at the Etihad this weekend as Champions Manchester City welcome Newcastle on Saturday.

The Hosts began the season with a comfortable 3-0 win over promoted side Burnley while a 5-star display from the Magpies was enough to see out a 5-1 thumping of Aston Villa.

Pep Guardiola’s side head into this clash rich in confidence following their UEFA Super Cup Triumph in midweek over Sevilla, the first in the club’s history, but will face stern opposition from a potentially dangerous Newcastle side led by Eddie Howe.

The last five clashes between both teams has ended with the Cityzens claiming four wins and playing out a draw, heading into this game undefeated against Newcastle.

PREDICTION

Both sides began the new campaign in commanding fashion, claiming convincing wins over each opponents faced. Given the formidable attacking options both teams possess and Newcastle being the more rested side than their opposition who had continental affairs days ago, we feel this game is easily shaping up to be a “goalfest” with both sides getting on the scoresheet, hence a GG outcome at 1.59 odds @Bestbet360 is a very likely outcome.

4- BORUSSIA DORTMUND v KÖLN

Last season’s Bundesliga runners up, Borussia Dortmund begin the new season this weekend at home to FC Köln non Saturday.

Dortmund enjoyed a positive preseason run, capping it off with a commanding 6-1 victory over TCV Schott Mainz in the first round of the DFB Pokal while Köln also won their DFB round round 1 tie, claiming a 3-1 win over Bundesliga 2 side, VFL Osnabrück.

Edin Terzic’s Dortmund will have hopefully put to bed the disappointment of losing the Bundesliga title on the final day of the previous campaign and will begin anew, even with high profile departures such as Jude Bellingham and Raphael Guerreiro who moved to Real Madrid and Bayern Munich respectively.

The last five meetings between both sides have produced some high scoring affairs but sees Dortmund claim one more win (2), than the opposition (1), while the other two games have ended in draws.

PREDICTION

Borussia Dortmund will hope to have a bright start to the new campaign and given how the side, for the past five seasons haven’t lost on the opening game week of the new season, our prediction for this tie is leaning towards a win for the hosts, so a home win prediction (1) at 1.44 odds @Bestbet360, will seat just nicely.

5- REAL BETIS v ATHLETICO MADRID

Gameweek 2 of the 23/24 La Liga season gets underway this weekend as Real Betis host Athletico Madrid at the Estadio Benito Villamarin stadium this weekend in one of the top billed encounters.

Betis began the new campaign on a good note, claiming a 2-1 win away at Villarreal while Athletico also scored a win, playing 3-1 against newly promoted side, Granada.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side continue the new campaign, in the hopes of finishing better than the sixth-placed finish in La Liga last term, ending seven points clear of seventh-placed Osasuna, which directly qualified them for the group stage of the Europa League.

The last five games between both teams has seen Athletico be undefeated, claiming four wins and a draw against Betis who would hope to come out with a more favourable outcome when both sides clash this weekend.

PREDICTION

Real Betis head into this tie having not actually beaten Atletico at home in the league since February 2019, and they will have to host a side that boasted the second-best away record in Spain’s top flight last season, during the 2022-23 campaign, picking up 35 points from their 19 matches on their travels. In lieu of the aforementioned fact, we would go for a combo prediction of a double-chance and over 1.5 goals outcome in favour of the visitors (X2 & ov. 1.5G), that option will go for 1.62 odds @Bestbet360.

Welcome to the weekend of what’s set to be the most watched FIFA Women’s World Cup so far.

Irrespective of the Premier League being back and some high profile clashes set to take place this weekend, it’s the game on Sunday at the Stadium Australia, Sydney, Australia that has me and millions of other football fans around the world buzzing.

Let me not get to excited writing about just that game, let’s get right into the predictions and as usual, may the odds favour our persistence.

Liverpool v Bournemouth

Tip: Home to score both halves @ 1.56 odds

Tottenham v Manchester United

If Tottenham still had Harry Kane available for selection going into this game, against blunder-waiting-to-happen Onana, I would have had the home side a goal up even before kickoff.

Tip: Away to score both halves @ 2.75 odds

Almeria v Real Madrid

Tip: Away to score both halves @ 1.97 odds

Inter Milan v Monza

Inter failed to win any of the two games against this side last season, managing just one point in that time. The advantage the hosts have is that this would be the very first game of the season. Perhaps, Monza won’t be up for it yet while players in the Inter jersey would be hoping to make their mark and avoid getting replaced before the end of the window.

Tip: 1&O1.5 1.42 odds

São Paulo v Botafogo

Tip: x2 @ 1.65 odds

Wolves v Brighton

Tip: 2 @ 1.89 odds

Manchester City v Newcastle

Tip: GG @ 1.59 odds

Bayer Leverkusen v RB Leipzig

Tip: GG @ 1.51 odds

Borussia Dortmund v Cologne

Tip: 1 @ 1.45 odds

Augsburg v Borussia Monchengladbach

Tip: NG @ 2.52 odds

Aston Villa v Everton

Tip: U2.5 @ 1.87 odds

West Ham v Chelsea

Tip: 2 @ 2.13 odds

Spain v England

These two women’s football powerhouses will be facing each other for the fourth time in three years. They have equally shared the spoils although Spain who have come this far despite a severely fractured dressing room have had it worse. Although the Spaniards defeated the Lionesses in the knockout round of the SheBelieves cup in 2020, they lost the final of the European Championship 2:1 in what was a heartbreaking defeat. They’ll be hoping to draw blood this time around. England with their fantastic manager, Sarina Wiegman who has been described as the Pep Guardiola of women’s football looks hungry and rearing to go.

If I didn’t opt to play safe, I would have put the money on England to do the double against their fellow Europeans.

Pooja’s 26-odds winners

Last weekend was a good one as our over 17 odds entered and this weekend, we are diving into the market again

Dortmund v Cologne

Dortmund needs to give their fans a good start to the season after losing the league on the final day. Cologne aim this season is starting well as well to regain their top flight status.

Dortmund won the equivalent fixture 6-1 last term and it looks like a home win for them this season too.

PREDICTION: Dortmund to win. Valued at 1.42 odds on BestBet360

Liverpool v Bournemouth

Liverpool were held by Chelsea on the opening weekend and will be looking to get their first win of the season in front of their fans.

Bournemouth also drew 1-1 in their opener against UEFA Conference League Champions West Ham but it will be a big task at Anfield.

It was a day to remember for Liverpool fans when these sides last met at Anfield with the Reds putting nine past Bournemouth in a 9-0 victory.

PREDICTION: Liverpool to win. Valued at 1.26 odds on BestBet0

Frankfurt v Darmstadt

A local derby to start the season but against a newly promoted side, Frankfurt are favorites for this.

Home win for Frankfurt.

PREDICTION: Frankfurt to win is valued at 1.43 odds on BestBet360.

Besiktas v Pendikspor

Besiktas opened their season with a 1-0 win over Kasimpasa and followed it up with a win in the Europa League.

With Chamberlain in the team, they have more options. In the midfield.

Pendikspor were demolished 5-1 by Hatayspor last time out and against high flying Besiktas, they didn’t have a chance.

PREDICTION: Besiktas to win is valued at 1.25 odds on BestBet360.

Added more games to the ticket to give us a good ACCA for the weekend.

Sylvia’s 2-odds Special Selections

We are finally down to the last four of the FIFA Women’s World Cup and one thing is guaranteed, the tournament will definitely be recording a debut winner at the lifting of the trophy as all previous winners are down and out!

I would have preferred to see Australia face England in the final instead of in the semis, so that’s a personal tough one for my HEART. That being said, who will you put your money on? Let the countdown continue!

And no, I haven’t forgotten that the Premier League has returned in all its glory as has the rest of Europe’s top leagues. Get prepared for the 2 odds that will be coming in the next couple of months. For now, time to get into the odds and make some money.

May the odds be in our favour.

Al Ettifaq v Al Nassr FC

First, it was Cristiano Ronaldo, now the rest have followed in their numbers. This influx of high profile football stars from all over Europe in the the Saudi Professional League has not only raised the standard of the game but makes it more competitive and more predictable based on available data.

Al Nassr FC just won their first ever Arab Club Championship Cup against Al Hilalal on Saturday and surprisingly will travel to Al Ettifaq less than 48hours later. That game went into extra time. Expect it to take a toll on the players: some will be knackered while some players like 38-year-old Ronaldo will be dropped. He certainly can’t play all those hours in two days.

Will it significantly impact the outcome of the game? I think they have a new mandate with the money splashed and have enough to avoid a low. Their head-to-head record even when they were a weaker side was better and I’ll certainly bank on that to see them over the line.

Tip: x2 @ 1.33 odds

Manchester United v Wolves

Manchester United have won all six of the last encounters between these two sides. I’m counting on them.

Tip: 1 & O1.5 @ 1.33 odds
