BAYERN MUNICH v EINTRACHT FRANKFURT

Still in search of their first win following the resumption of the league after the World Cup break, table leaders Bayern Munich host Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend.

Bavarian giants Munich have not displayed the kind of form they showed before the break, winning all five of their league games before the start of the Mundial. Although the side is still yet to taste defeat in recent outings, playing out back-to-back 1-1 draws against RB Leipzig and Cologne, those results that may have dented the confidence levels of the champions ahead of this clash. However, Bayern Munich are still regarded as the favourites over their visitors from Frankfurt.

Eintracht Frankfurt, who achieved the biggest feat in the club’s history by  winning the Europa League last season, have continued their push for European qualification this term and sit in fourth, five points adrift of Bayern at the summit ahead of this clash. Oliver Glasner’s side are undefeated in their previous five league games, claiming three wins and two draws, with the most recent stalemate being the 1-1 draw away at Freiburg.

The H2H In the last five meetings between these teams indicates Bayern’s relative dominance against Frankfurt as Julien Nagelsmann’s charges have won three but lost two to their opponents. This should be a tasty start for Suo’s Super 12-odds Selections

PREDICTION: The reverse fixture of this particular tie earlier this season was by no means a contest as Bayern ran riot away at the Deutsche Bank Park, thumping Eintracht 1-6 but given the host’s recent dip in form and their new-found struggles in front of goal, the away team could yet savour a shot at the table leaders. Three of the past five meetings have ended with scorelines where both sides found the back of the net and it’s likely going to be the same, so we predict a GG outcome at 1.53 odds @Bestbet360.

BAYER LEVERKUSEN v BORUSSIA DORTMUND

The competition this term in the Bundesliga is not just worthy of admiration but it is truly noteworthy as just five points separate the first to the sixth on the table. Fifth place Borussia Dortmund, riding on back-to-back wins since the league restart, continue their ascent back into the Champions League qualification spots when they travel to Bayer Leverkusen this weekend.

Dortmund may have had their struggles before the pause but new found confidence, coupled with the return of some key players, especially forward man Sebastian Haller whose successful ‘fight’ against testicular cancer ensured the Ivorian international continued his playing career, have yielded auspicious results with BVB recording wins over Augsburg and Mainz, snapping a two-game losing run in the process.

Hosts Bayer Leverkusen have also enjoyed a good run since the restart, recording back-to-back wins over Borussia Moenchengladbach and Bochum and would be looking to add to their tally of home wins when they welcome Dortmund.

The H2H between both teams in their previous five clashes shows the visitors edge the tally slightly, claiming three wins while Leverkusen won the other two games. The reverse fixture earlier this season ended in favour of Dortmund who claimed a 1-0 victory at home.

PREDICTION: Given Dortmund’s defensive lapses and how easily they tend to concede goals, we expect this fixture, unlike the reverse to feature a couple of goals but with the outcome leaning towards the home side. We’ll predict a combo option of double chance (in favour of the home team) and over 1.5 goals, ie. 1x & ov. 1.5G at 3.58 odds @Bestbet360.

MANCHESTER UNITED v READING

Manchester United continue their charge for a first trophy in six years when they prosecute their FA Cup fourth round tie against Reading at Old Trafford in Suo’s Super 12-odds Selections first game from England.

The hosts, coming off a comprehensive 3-0 win away at fellow leaguers Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup semifinal first leg, remain the only team still in all four domestic competitions and head into this tie as clear favourites against Reading. The Championship side apparently have not garnered enough consistency with their performances in the second tier of English Football, claiming just a single win in five of their previous league games and sit in 14th on the table.

Paul Ince and his charges dispatched fellow Championship side Watford with relative ease by a scoreline of 2-0, en route to the fourth round of the competition. However, they face a truly sterner test on the road, against a much improved Manchester United in this next FA outing.

The H2H between both teams shows a glaring disparity as United have truly dominated this particular fixture, winning all five of the previous clashes and also being undefeated by Reading in all of their meetings. Given the contrast in form of both sides in their individual leagues, this is truly shaping up to be a one-sided affair.

PREDICTION: The year 2019 was the last time both clubs met and coincidentally the game was an FA Cup clash where United came out with a 2-0 win. United are undefeated in 11 encounters against Reading and with the kind of form the Mancunians have displayed in recent times, it will be nigh impossible to predict any outcome short of a win for the home side. The preferred option for this game will be a combo option of a straight win for the home side with over 2.5 goals, ie. 1 & ov. 2.5G at 2.57 odds @Bestbet360.

HERTHA BERLIN v UNION BERLIN

It’s derby weekend in Berlin as the Bundesliga offers a truly exciting fixture in the capital as Hertha Berlin play hosts to city rivals Union Berlin in the Berlin Derby at the Olympiastadion.

Both teams have experienced opposite fortunes in the league this term with the hosts struggling, claiming just 14 points in 17 games. This has them occupying 17th spot on the table and enduring a horrible run which has led to the team languishing in the relegation waters. In sharp contrast, the visitors, Union Berlin have been one of the high flyers this campaign, winning both games played since the resumption of the league and sit in second, three points behind leaders Bayern Munich at the summit.

Hertha Berlin are one of the sides still yet to muster a win since the resumption. They lost 3-1 away at Bochum, and were then beaten scandalously at home to Wolfsburg three days later, suffering a 0-5 thrashing in that disappointing encounter for the Sandro Schwarz-led team. That mwans they have claimed only a single win in five of their last league games, while for Union, the resumption of the league brought good tidings for the side who prior to the break, had failed to win in three games but are now on a two-game winning run and would be keen to maintain momentum.

The H2H between both sides in their previous five clashes shows Union Berlin have truly dominated on of the biggest derbies in Germany; the visitors are undefeated against Hertha, winning four and playing out a draw in the other game.

PREDICTION: Hertha Berlin are winless in the last five Berlin Derbies, losing the first of this campaign earlier on by 3-1 and given how poor they have been lately, the blue side of Berlin might suffer another derby defeat. We predict a straight away win at 2.22 odds @Bestbet360.

NAPOLI v ROMA

By far the most impressive side in Serie A this season, Napoli look to further extend their winning run at the league summit when the side welcome Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this weekend.

The Partnopei, who currently enjoy a gargantuan 12-point lead atop the league table, would be fixated on making it four wins from four after recording victories over Sampdoria, Juventus and Salernitana. Luciano Spaletti’s outfit will have it all to do against a seemingly resurgent Roma side looking to get back into the Champions League qualification spots.

Jose Mourinho’s team head into this game sitting in fifth with 37 points, one behind AC Milan after claiming back-to-back wins against Fiorentina and Spezia respectively and could yet leap into second on the table if the outcome of this tie is a positive one for them.

The H2H between both sides in their previous five meetings shows Napoli are undefeated in this particular fixture, winning three and playing out draws in the other two games. Roma will be keen to end the winless run against the table leaders in the next encounter.

PREDICTION: Napoli came out with a 1-0 win in the reverse tie of this fixture earlier on in the season courtesy a late Osimhen goal and given the forward’s prolific form this term, coupled with how well the team in general have been playing, it seems likely Napoli will do the double over Roma. The last 3 meetings have been low-scoring affairs, so we’ll go with a combo option of DC (home) & over 1.5 goals, hence, 12 & ov. 1.5 G at 2.52 odds @Bestbet360.

This leaves you with a decent ACCA of just inside 12.42 odds to get your weekend going thanks to the good peoples of BestBet360. Don’t forget, try bet responsibly and may the odds always be in your favor fam, #Kpoko!

BoomBanker’s 35-odds ACCA Bankers

BoomBanker’s 35-odds ACCA Bankers

What could be better than the BoomBanker’s 35-odds ACCA Bankers on an exciting weekend of football action across leagues in Europe, with Cup games spicing up the regular league matches.

With this avalanche of games to choose from, the Boom Banker’s well-researched Home Wins selections are largely drawn from both the top and lower leagues across Europe.

Let’s play along!

BAYERN MUNICH vs EINTRACHT FRANKFURT

Bayern Munich will be aiming to win their first competitive match of 2023 when they host Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga’s Saturday night game.

Frankfurt, meanwhile, would move two points behind the league leaders with an away victory. Having won 10 straight games prior to the World Cup in Qatar, Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann must be ruing the timing of the tournament having seen his side draw both league games since returning to action.

However, after securing a creditable 1-1 draw away to RB Leipzig last week, the Bavarians dropped two points at home to FC Koln in another 1-1 draw on Tuesday evening.

For Frankfurt, they remain on course for a hugely successful season after claiming a respectable 1-1 draw away to Freiburg on Wednesday evening.

Bayern will require a much better performance than the one that they delivered on home turf when drawing against Koln on Tuesday if they are to beat Frankfurt, with the visitors unbeaten in their last five league matches and aiming to qualify for the Champions League once again.

However, Nagelsmann’s side should be fired up after a couple of disappointing results, as they look to win their first match of the calendar year

This is unlikely to be anything other than a home win for Bayern Munich at 1.33 odds on BestBet360 in our first game of the BoomBanker’s 35-odds ACCA Bankers.

ATALANTA vs SAMPDORIA

Atalanta and Sampdoria have certainly endured contrasting fortunes in front of goal of late. While La Dea are unbeaten in five games, netting 20 times in that run, Sampdoria have failed to score in eight of their last nine outings and are in danger of being cut adrift at the bottom. To make matters worse, the visitors are reportedly on the brink of bankruptcy, and Gian Piero Gasperini’s hosts look certain deepen their woes on Saturday evening.

Sampdoria have scored just eight goals in Serie A this season, making them not only the worst attacking outfit in Italy’s top flight, but the most impotent team in Europe’s top five leagues. Dejan Stankovic’s men have lost four successive games to nil, and they rank as Serie A’s worst outfit for expected goals (15.5 xG) this campaign. Samp went down 2-0 at home to Atalanta on the opening day, managing just one shot on target, and little more is expected here.

Atalanta, meanwhile, have looked like their vibrant selves of late, beating Salernitana and Spezia 8-2 and 5-2, respectively, before sharing a thrilling 3-3 draw with Juventus last week.

Atalanta to win at 1.33 odds on BestBet360 comes handy.

AC MILAN vs SASSUOLO

Stefano Pioli’s Milan are in dire need of a win. Another thrashing at the hands of Lazio on Tuesday left Milan 12 points behind Napoli at the top of the Italian Serie A table as they look to repeat last season’s scudetto triumph.

Milan have now not won in their last three Serie A games, lost the Supercoppa Italia to Inter and have been dumped out of the Coppa Italia by Torino. If they are to get back on track in the league, at least, they need to take all three points at the San Siro on Sunday.

That should be possible but it may not be the greatest performance. Points are more important than quality at the moment and a narrow victory might be expected.

Backing Milan to secure a comfortable home win at 1.51 odds on BestBet360.

PSG vs REIMS

France is next for the BoomBanker’s 35-odds ACCA Bankers. After rolling over Pays de Cassel 7-0 in the Coupe de France, PSG will look to cement top position in the Ligue 1 table when they take on Reims on Sunday evening.

Les Parisiens are leading the chase for the domestic trophy, but both Lens and Marseille are still breathing down their neck. Leo Messi returns to the starting XI after he was rested in the French Cup triumph, while both Marco Verratti and Nordi Mukiele remain on the sidelines with injuries.

Les Rouges et Blancs, on the other hand, faced no difficulties in the Coupe de France victory over Les Herbiers, but they will have a mountain to climb at Parc des Princes. PSG are desperate to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Rennes, and seeing that all Neymar, Mbappe, and Messi are fit for the match, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise.

PSG to secure a routine home win comes at 1.25 odds on BestBet360.

NAPOLI vs ROMA

Two in-form sides meet at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Sunday for an Italian Serie A clash.

Naples hosts a very intriguing clash on Sunday, with the Partenopei welcoming Jose Mourinho’s Roma to town. Both clubs have been looking very good this season and neither will want to drop points this weekend.

But it is Napoli who are the favourites to possibly extend their lead at the top of the Serie A table. There has only been that one defeat to Inter to blemish their record this season and even an in-form Roma should not be able to stop them from collecting three more points towards a possible scudetto.

Napoli to prevail at 1.75 odds on BestBet360.

BoomBanker’s 35-odds ACCA Bankers

BoomBanker’s 16-odds Home Bankers

The Boom Banker makes a return with 16 odds Home Wins ACCA on a weekend when the German Bundesliga becomes the last of Europe’s top leagues to return to league action after the 2022 FIFA World Cup break.

With the avalanche of games to choose from, the Boom Banker’s well researched Home Wins selections for this ‘exciting weekend of football actions’ are largely drawn from both the top and lower leagues across Europe.

Let’s play along!

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT vs SCHALKE

Eintracht Frankfurt find themselves in the top-four ahead of the restart after enjoying their best 15-game start to a German Bundesliga campaign since 1993/94, a season in which they finished fifth and achieved European qualification. Perhaps a game against Schalke is the perfect way to return to action in search of replicating that feat, as Frankfurt have more Bundesliga home wins against them than any other side (W27, D9, L11).

After sensationally winning the Europa League last season, Oliver Glasner continues to scale greater heights at Frankfurt, having taken them through to the knockout stages of the Champions League while maintaining a push to finish inside the Bundesliga’s top four positions.

Domestically, meanwhile, four wins from their last six games prior to the domestic season being paused for the World Cup in November saw Glasner’s side move ahead of Union Berlin into fourth spot on goal difference.

As such, the former Wolfsburg boss will be determined to see his players comfortably dispatch the worst team in the division on Saturday, which could see them climb as high as second in the table ahead of tricky fixtures against Freiburg and Bayern Munich within the coming week.

Despite allowing former Hoffenheim and Arminia Bielefeld boss Frank Kramer just 12 games in charge after replacing him with Thomas Reis in their managerial dugout in October, Schalke failed to see any tangible improvements as a result of the switch.

Reis lost three of his four league games prior to the World Cup, with his solitary win coming at home against Mainz 05 via Simon Terodde’s third league goal of the season, illustrating the 34-year-old’s struggles to convert his prolific strike rate from Germany’s second tier to the elite level.

This is unlikely to be anything other than a home win for Frankfurt at 1.38 odds on BestBet360.

ATLÉTICO MADRID vs REAL VALLADOLLID

It’s been a terrible run of form for Atlético Madrid, who’s 1-1 draw at Almeria last weekend means they have picked up just one win in their last six La Liga outings.

Diego Simeone’s side will fancy their chances of turning those recent results around though, especially back at the Wanda, where they hast been defeated just twice in their last 1o outings in all competitions.

Indeed, Atleti’s three defeats there in the league this season have all come to teams in the top five, with their victories all over clubs currently in the bottom half.

Something else that will give Atletico fans hope it’s their stunning record when facing Real Valladolid, who have lost 11 of the last 12 meetings between the two teams.

Pacheta’s side have failed to even score in their last four trips to the Wanda, while they are currently on a run of four successive defeats, against without netting.

That form means they’ve slumped to just above the relegation zone, while only one side, Almeria, has scored fewer than their total of five away La Liga goals this season.

Atléti to secure a routine home win comes at 1.38 odds on BestBet360.

INTER vs EMPOLI

Inter will look to stay in the Scudetto race when they face Empoli in the Serie A round 19.

The Nerazzurri recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win over Verona at the weekend, but they need to keep on making progress if they are to melt Napoli’s advantage in the standings. The likes of Brozovic, Handanovic, and Lukaku should miss out with injuries for the home side, while important midfielder Nicolo Barella is widely expected to return to the starting XI after overcoming his injury.

Meanwhile, the Azzurri recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win over Sampdoria thanks to Tyronne Ebuehi’s goal.

Empoli, though, are not regarded as good travellers, and do not look like a team capable of spoiling Inter’s party at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. You should know that Inter defeated Empoli in each of their last eight meetings at the venue, speaking of the Serie A encounters

Inter to win at 1.29 odds on BestBet360 comes handy.

PSV vs VITESSE

Dutch Eredivise title-chasing PSV Eindhoven host Vitesse at the Philips Stadion on Saturday evening.

The two sides have endured differing starts to league action following the World Cup break, with Vitesse yet to win, while the hosts are unbeaten since returning from the month-long hiatus.

PSV Eindhoven looked to have done enough when they came from behind against 10-man Fortuna Sittard, with goals from Xavi Simons and Ibrahim Sangare, but they were punished for missing a hatful of chances when Burak Yilmaz equalised from the penalty spot in the 99th minute.

That result leaves Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side in fourth place, five points adrift of league leaders Feyenoord, and Yilmaz’s late strike, and his fifth goal of the Eredivisie campaign, means that PSV have now drawn back-to-back games in the league since returning from the World Cup break.

After an impressive 2021-22 season, finishing sixth in the Eredivisie, Vitesse have fallen off considerably so far this term, picking up just 15 points from their 16 matches up to this point, leaving them in 14th place.

Geel en Zwart’s defence has been their primary issue, having conceded 31 goals, the fourth-worst defensive record in the Eredivisie, behind Groningen, SBV Excelsior and FC Volendam.

Backing PSV to secure a comfortable home win at 1.28 odds on BestBet360.

Sylvia’s 2-odds Mega wins Selections

Sylvia’s 2-odds Mega wins Selections

Sylvia’s 2-odds Mega wins Selections is back this weekend with some mega odds following last weekend’s success with two out of three fixtures with 2+ odds came through. If you pay attention, you’ll see where I hide my most precious gems.

It’s been back-to-back blockbuster games from England to Spain to the surprise one in Saudi Arabia. I guess when it rains, it really does pour. Get your umbrellas ready as it’s bound to continue this weekend in the premier league when Liverpool play host to Chelsea in this early kick-off.

This fixture will lead the way into the rest of the weekend’s fixtures across different leagues.

Liverpool v Chelsea

I am starting Sylvia’s 2-odds Mega wins Selections with Liverpool having the upper hand in all ramifications. Chelsea just can’t seem to catch a break. Except you choose to count the narrow 1-0 victory over London rivals, Crystal Palace during the week. The Blues are clearly on a clean-out of the squad and have probably almost if not equaled the most players signed in a January window. Don’t fact-check me, I’m just saying because that’s how much it feels to Chelsea fans. Yet the effect can’t be felt positively on the pitch.

Both teams are tied on points with near-equal stats in their last five games. However, seated in the ninth and tenth, respectively, they both know it’s not the right place to be and the pressure is high.

Both teams have been missing key players but Chelsea are the only ones that seem to have added some reinforcements this winter break. The feeling is that the new signings in addition to returnees like Reece James, Chillwell and Kante, if it’s not too early, will help them get one over their hosts on Saturday.

Unfortunately for the Reds, while they should normally be happy about the home advantage, the last four fixtures between these two ended in draws. With fifty percent of them being goalless draw. Both teams will also be looking to secure points that could be translated into a six pointer due to its importance. I’ll bet on goals.

Tip: Highest scoring half – SH @ 1.92 odds

Leicester v Brighton

At this point it appears just about any team can beat Leicester City. I doubt there is a turning point for Brendan Rodgers. The only way out of this situation for him is out of the club. The players look like they lack motivation and need a fresh start.

Brighton on the other hand, look gingerly. They are enjoying their game and are in a position they wouldn’t have seen themselves being in at the start of the season. They are almost double the points of the hosts with 30 points against Leicester’s 17.

Historically, Brighton haven’t been a walk in the park to the Foxes. The visitors haven’t lost against this Saturday opponent in four meetings stretching back to 2021. I fancy an away victory.

Sylvia’s 2-odds winning Specials

Sylvia’s 2-odds winning Specials is here with another list of tips this weekend. There are so many fixtures from across different leagues that have left me salivating. This weekend, I’ll be making minimal analysis but more fixtures. Without much ado, let’s get right into it.

Newcastle v Fulham

Two teams in positions “they shouldn’t be in”. While money speaks for one, it doesn’t for the other who comes into this tie off the back of inflicting Chelsea’s last loss during the week. It’s a tricky one.

Tip: 1 @ 1.51 odds

Tottenham v Arsenal

It’s the big north London derby.

These two teams have contrasting fortunes. Something that would have been the total opposite just a few seasons ago.

Arsenal will be hoping to claim all three points to pull further away from their closest challengers Manchester City, who were beaten 2-1 by city rivals Manchester United in the Manchester Derby on Saturday.

I can bank on the visitors to overcome the home aggression from the fans and claim all three points. That’s how much they’ve grown. The only concern for Arsenal that Conte will be banking on is that the visitors lose their heads with the referee and get in serious problems with him.

Tip: x2 @ 1.36 odds

Real Madrid v Barcelona

Typically, a clash between these two sides is an “El Clasico”. However, when it’s a final irrespective of the competition, it is an “El Clasico and more”. There is a lot to play for, including the league battle where both of them occupy the second and first positions respectively despite Madrid being the defending champions.

The pressure will be on the capital club to prove themselves once again to avoid talk of Barcelona being the superior side.

Both teams come into this final having defeated their respective semi-final opponents on penalties after extra-time.

It’s finely poised. For this weekend’s Sylvia’s 2-odds winning Specials, I’ll put the money on the goals.

Tip: GG @ 1.56 odds

Sassuolo v Lazio

Tip: x2 @ 1.36odds
